I have a managed switch now and would like to organize my network as well as utilize the etherlighting on the ports. I want to start by putting my cameras on their own network/VLAN but am a little confused. My default gateway is 192.168.0.1 and the cam's are 192.168.0.(60-70), with the IP's set to static currently both ends camera & router. If I create a VLAN say 192.168.2.1-255, am I going to need to use the ip config tool to manually change their IP's to match the VLAN's IP?

More than likely all of your other devices are not static IPs, so it would be easiest to just change the main internet to a different IP and all the DHCP devices will find it and the cameras can keep their current IP.

But if you do change the IP of each camera, as long as you match up each camera to the proper one (like front door IP to front door IP) then yes BI will keep all the settings.

I would suggest keeping the last set of digits the same to make it easy when changing the IP in the cameras.
