I thought I might start a thread about items that are useful and worth having around. The first one that comes to mind is a water sensor. Something to alert you if the washing machine, water heater, etc. spring a leak. If you have a home automation / alarm system and can integrate one into that, obviously that’s the way to go. If not a basic one that screams at you when water touches the sensor would be highly recommended. Set it on a folded up paper towel and hope you never hear it.
