This news article is full of what the fuck to people need to be fired, charged, and prosecuted!

Every time I think I’ve seen or heard it all. There’s another unbelievable story that can’t be real, but is, and caught on video.

No where do they explain why the USPS mail carrier driver wasn’t arrested and charged with driving unsafely on a public sidewalk?!?

They don’t explain why this lazy and stupid shit thought it was OK to drive on this guys lawn for YEARS????

They don’t explain what has happened to those who summarily swept this guys complaint under the rug at USPS!

The video indicates a whole bunch of retards are going to take some kind of training???

For what common sense? To not drive on a public sidewalk, private property, and cause a threat to the general public?!?

The Postal General should start with firing everyone involved with this multi year cover up. Who ever runs the shit police department in that guys town should be fired and public shamed!

You literally have time stamped video of the asshole over the course of YEARS so why hasn’t the USPS driver been arrested ???

I would drive down the sidewalk too if everyone places their mailbox on the sidewalk and not the road. BTW, don't piss off your mail carrier.

You would think that the homeowner after all that time would have figured out what the problem was. I would have either moved the mailbox out to the curb myself or had it done. Problem solved.

Maybe because it is too close to a cross street intersection, and trucks with trailers making a right turn clip the mailbox if placed along the road.

Maybe homeowners have been hit or splashed by passing cars when retrieving their mail standing on the road.

Maybe in the winter, the snow ploughs pile up the snow so high it damages the mailbox.

Maybe trash pick up uses a truck with a claw and damages the mailbox.



Just maybe all of the above

I got a nice apology by email, and then my mail carrier was a different person.

When I got ready to install the post for my rural (roadside) mail box in '06 during the home building, the local post-mistress told me in writing EXACTLY where to place the post for the box: it has a specified height and a specified set-back from the roadway or face of curb.

There are additional considerations that determine where I was required to put it; the mail carrier's direction of travel, the side where all the other mail boxes were, the hazard imposed by where the carrier would stop, etc.
