Use lemon grass oil to keep yellow jackets away from nesting on camera?

There's some yellow jackets that are nesting in my camera. I read that lemon grass oil can be used to keep them away. Of course, I'd keep it away from the lens. Wondering what other people have used to keep insects from using their turret cameras as nests. Do you stuff the gaps with something to further discourage them from nesting?

I'm concern lemon grass oil might keep yellow jackets away, but then attract other unwanted insects.

I use Duct Seal to plug all openings if there's a problem. No muss, no fuss and it can be easily removed whenever it needs to be and reused again.
