Not true at all. That is precisely the point of the Supreme Court; they determine the meaning AND intent of the law as it was written. Therefore, this decision is a huge miscarriage of justice.

Same man, Jacob Howard, intended, "I am not yet prepared to pass a sweeping act of naturalization by which all the Indian savages, wild or tame, belonging to a tribal relation, are to become my fellow-citizens and go to the polls and vote with me."

So, should this intention be considered by the Supreme Court as well?

Yes, ask the Chinese about this.....if it gets voted on, and I am sure it won't, it will probably be stripped down and neutered, whatever is left of it.

The Trump Cult will never admit it. Its all they have to cling to in their pathetic lives...

As much as I dislike Trump for various reasons, I really disliked what Kamala was representing also.

For me, Kamala was going to continue the woke agenda, bring forth unrealized capital gains taxes ( the bane of a successful economy ), and attacked various aspects of our recognized constitutional rights, and ushered in more Supreme Court Justices based on DEI who would not know what a woman is.

Honestly, we should have had better choices, but again .. Kamala was not a good option imho

For a more detailed list :

For American conservatives, Donald Trump’s primary achievements center on transforming the federal judiciary, passing major tax cuts, reducing corporate regulations, and securing the southern border, whereas Kamala Harris's projected platform represents the opposite: expanding federal agencies, increasing taxes on corporations and high earners, and enacting progressive social policies. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Here is a direct comparison of Donald Trump's actual presidential record versus the policies and outcomes conservatives anticipated under a Kamala Harris administration:

Core Policy Direct Comparisons
Policy Area [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]Donald Trump's Conservative RecordExpected Kamala Harris Actions
JudiciaryAppointed three conservative Supreme Court Justices (Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett), which led to the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and placed over 200 conservative judges on federal courts.Expected to appoint progressive federal judges who favor a living-constitution approach, support federal abortion access protections, and expand federal regulatory powers.
Taxes & EconomySigned the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which significantly lowered the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21% and reduced individual income tax rates across most brackets.Expected to push for the expiration of the 2017 tax cuts, raise the corporate tax rate, and increase taxes on capital gains and high-income earners.
Regulations & EnergyImplemented a "two-for-one" regulatory rollback rule, withdrew from the Paris Climate Accord, and approved major energy pipelines to promote domestic oil and gas production.Expected to expand the regulatory reach of agencies like the EPA, implement strict green-energy mandates, and restrict new fossil fuel drilling on public lands.
Immigration & BorderConstructed hundreds of miles of border wall, enacted the "Remain in Mexico" policy for asylum seekers, and strictly enforced Title 42 deportations.Expected to favor pathways to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, scale back physical border walls, and focus on addressing the root causes of regional migration.
Foreign PolicyBroker of the Abraham Accords between Israel and Arab nations, renegotiated NAFTA into the USMCA, pulled out of the Iran Nuclear Deal, and levied heavy tariffs on China.Expected to prioritize multilateral alliances (like NATO and the UN), rejoin international climate agreements, and favor traditional diplomatic negotiations over unilateral tariffs.
Why Conservatives View Trump's Actions Favorably
  • Judicial Legacy: For decades, the top priority for the conservative movement was changing the balance of the Supreme Court. Trump's appointments fulfilled a generational promise to strict constructionists and originalists. [1]
  • Pro-Business Environment: The reduction of federal regulations and lower corporate tax rates are foundational goals of free-market capitalism, which conservatives credit for boosting economic growth and lowering unemployment prior to the 2020 pandemic.
  • National Sovereignty: Trump's "America First" posture aligns with conservative nationalism, emphasizing strong borders, domestic manufacturing, and skepticism toward globalist treaties. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Why Conservatives Opposed Harris's Anticipated Platform
  • Growth of the Administrative State: Conservatives generally favor decentralized government. They expected Harris to use federal departments to impose sweeping mandates on healthcare, education, and labor markets. [1]
  • Economic Intervention: Harris's past proposals, such as federal support for first-time homebuyers or aggressive green energy subsidies, are viewed by conservatives as market distortions that drive up inflation and national debt. [1, 2, 3]
  • Social and Cultural Shifts: Conservatives strongly oppose progressive initiatives favored by the Biden-Harris administration regarding identity politics, diversity mandates in federal agencies, and federal funding variations for abortion access.

Trump: We’ve got DNI Pulte over there as the new director. We also know you have the task force set up on declassification, maybe looking, talking about international, maybe looking at some declassification.

Are you able to give us an update on that?
Trump: We are. We need to declassify almost everything. And you know, by the way, we have Jay Clayton is going in. You know, Bill Pulte is a very talented guy, but he’s just there temporarily until Jay Clayton, and Jay Clayton is going through the process, and Jay Clayton, highly respected, and so is Bill Pulte, but Bill is there just for a fairly short period of time. But while he’s there, I said, you can declassify whatever you want.

Do you think we’re going to get some soon?
Trump: I told him he can do it. You got to ask him, but I think that Bill will declassify. I told him you can declassify whatever you want. So, Bill’s there just for maybe a month or two months or something, and Jay is going through the process. He’s got a hearing in two weeks. Highly respected man, Jay Clayton.
