Upgrading my storage drive?

I have BI installed with Windows on an SSD and store my footage on a separate HDD. Until recently, I only had two indoor cameras and I just used the 500GB HDD that came with the computer. Recently, I've added two indoor cameras for a total of four, plus a doorbell cam. I've also purchased, but not yet installed two outdoor cameras, with plans to purchase two more later in the summer. In preparation for all of this system growth, I'm doing away with the old 500GB HDD and am replacing it with a 4TB WD Purple drive.

I plan to use the same drive designation for the new drive once I swap it out. Is there anything special that I need to do? Assuming I want to keep whatever footage is currently on the drive, is it as simple as copying over the directories and files, swapping the drives and booting?

Thanks.

Yes.

Just make sure that the drive letter is correct after rebooting.
