If your PC was native Win 7 most likely not. Early on there were some issues with drivers for video, wireless cards, etc., especially on laptops, that weren't included or available. Since 2015 I'd say I've put 10 where 7 was (with complete reformat and fresh install) on about 8 PC's and 3 laptops without any issue.
Just make sure you do NOT upgrade but instead do a complete reformat/fresh install with the
Windows Media Creation Tool. I highly recommend to use the tool to create a USB Flash Drive. You'll be pleasantly surprised how easy and quick it'll go with that method.
