I have been going through instructions to get my HIKVIsion cameras to work with my unifi setup. I have enabled ONVIF, changed the security settings to digest/basic, synced times and managed to get it to appear in Unifi. It asks me to click to adopt my HIKVision NVR but when trying to adopt it won't accept my credentials. I have the same password for all the users but it wont' accept them. Any advice? Have I missed something?

I can't find the thread now but another member very recently had a similar problem in getting a NVR to gee-haw with a camera or two and after MUCH back and forth he found his issue.....he had mis-typed a password. It showed up after about the 3rd time he checked.
If you haven't already done so, I'd re-do the ONVIF user credentials completely as well as the NVR's regular user and try again...for simplicity making the ONVIF and the NVR admin credentials identical where possible.

Thanks for replying. I have gone through checking the passwords and they are identical. I have reset them and no luck. I wonder if there is a setting somewhere not allowing it to connect?
1. create/enable/set up password for admin ONVIF user (there should be separate list of ONVIF users).
2. I don't know does HIK NVR's allows to re-stream cameras over ONVIF. Dahua allows this for 100% (both private protocol, ONVIF & RTSP)..
if not, you should stream directly from cameras (after enabling/configuring ONVIF on them)...

Yep, that's what I have done.
I've read of other people having had it connected without any issues. If the cameras are able to then I don't see why the NVR isn't able to. I might just have to do the cameras individually or keep it how it is currently.

historically HIK NVR's didn't allow to re-stream over private protocol (so other HIK NVR's didn't recognize this NVR as multi camera source).
Dahua always had those feature and this worked very well.
I don't know how with ONVIF. Don't use HIK any more..
But you can always try to stream from camera directly.
Ah ok, I bought my NVR like 6 years ago so probably doesn't, I will try the cameras directly.
