Hello -

I am running BI 5.3.2.7 with Amcrest 4MP Outdoor PTZ cameras. When I am in full screen mode, I get no audio, but when I go to the smaller screen I get audio no problem. After searching around I tried lowering all my settings down on the video, none of it helped. Looking to see if there is any way to adjust this or if that is just how it works normally.

Many Thanks

I have not heard of this before.

In UI3 there is no reason for audio to not work in full screen mode. Try right clicking the video and choosing the stats for nerds option. This will show you graphs of audio bit rate and of how much audio is in the audio buffer. Maybe this will help you figure out what is going on.

I don't see any indication that you are using full screen mode either of those screenshots, as the Viewport remained the same between both screenshots.

My guess is that your first screenshot is a group view (multiple cameras) and you cropped the screenshot to hide the other cameras.

When you view a camera group in UI3, you get audio from all the cameras in the group at the same time. So I'm guessing you have audio working on a different camera in the same group, but audio is not working for the camera you clicked on.

If I'm right, then you need to identify which camera(s) have working audio and compare them with the camera that doesn't have working audio to see if you can find the difference.

OK, I think I must be misunderstand something. I have one screen with both of my cameras showing. Only one camera has audio enabled at all and that is my 4k PTZ on the left. On the screen where both cameras are showing, I get audio. The only way I know to go full screen is to actually click on the picture I want, and when I do that I get the PTZ in full screen mode, all of my PTZ controls go active and I lose audio from the PTZ camera. I have looked at all other settings and see no other way to go to full screen mode. Maybe I am mistaking what I am seeing for full screen mode, however when I go to the mode where the image takes up the entire screen and I get access to my PTZ controls, I lose audio.

Ok, yeah, full screen mode is actually a button in the lower right corner of UI3. What you've done is what I refer to as "maximizing" a camera by clicking on it. That isn't really full-screening, but I can see how you could call it that.

Try going to your Blue Iris local console, right click on your PTZ cam, and choose properties. Then on the "Audio" tab, look for the "Webcast audio" checkbox. Make sure that is checked.

But I kind of doubt that will fix this somehow. One of your earlier screenshots of the Stats for nerds panel showed "mu-law 16000hz" as the audio codec, but there's no sign of any audio data actually being received. Which means Blue Iris told UI3 there would be an audio stream, and then it failed to deliver any actual audio frames. This suggests to me that Blue Iris may be having trouble encoding the audio stream for that camera somehow.

If you can screenshot the audio configuration in the camera's web interface, that might help.
