Trouble accessing web interface of Hikvision DVR

I would be grateful for some advice please.

I am having trouble logging into my hikvision DVR from my LAN using a web browser. The IP address for the DVR is 192.168.10.16. When typing in those details in iVMS on both PC and iPhone, and including the username and password for the DVR, I can access the DVR and camera's, however when I type in the IP address into a browser, I get an error message. I have tried various browsers, all of which give an error message.

Oddly, yesterday I was able to access the web interface of the DVR after I restarted the DVR. I haven't tried restarting the DVR today, but was hoping for some guidance as to why I am facing this issue.

Are you including any port after the IP? If the HTTP port is not 80, then a port must be specified in the URL after the IP separated by a colon, such as:

http://192.168.10.16:8080
Look into your DVR/NVR's documentation or perform a scan with an app called Fing after getting onto your LAN. Find the DVR with it, click on its IP and select "services"; it should reveal the HTTP port used.
