Tripwire "ghosting"

I've fiddled with every setting I can think of that might make a difference, and these still keep coming up. There's no pattern that I can discern to even begin to pinpoint the cause.

Anyone have any ideas?

In one of your other posts on this subject, nayr made some suggestions. I don't think I saw your results.
He suggested, if memory serves, that you reduce contrast or WDR (or something else?) because the overly-sharp image was creating lots of objects for the camera to consider as "targets".

Getting the pic to be a little "softer" might help.

just install a driveway sensor already and be done with it, that overly vegetated and heavily shaded view is going to be a total PITA for all video analytics..

A buried vehicle probe, pir, or photoelectric sensor is hard to beat.

If you want to try to get the tripwire working better, i'd eliminate the vertical trip wire and shorten the horizontal one (i think you can do that) to exclude vegetation.
