Scheduling would do it I believe. You can either do a global schedule for all cameras or override the global for individual cameras. Also, the BI help file is quite helpful as I found out recently.

My system has been running for about a year and a half and I've never delved into the scheduling part of BI. I'll take a look into that. It's only one camera that I would want it to record on.

Is there a separate program that would run the script or is it inside of BI?

You dont need a script...you can set the schedule for that specific camera...this exact function is built into blue iris with great detail..
