So I have a buddy who wants a general 4 camera system and I've been recommending the Amcrest over reolink. I know this is a long standing debate, but for someone who can't self troubleshoot and I don't want to help I just need to recommend the best basic system and am down to these two.
The reolinks have more reviews but from my research here the amcrest is better.
These are the same price but one has ai camera with person/vehicle detection ( which seems standard these days for other brands)

What would yall recommend for a basic plug and play system.

Thanks

I personally would get this Kit for the extra $70 bucks. (plus hard drive)
(If ordered directly from Andy, you may even get a better deal)
At least these cameras will be better at night than the amcrest 4K's and for sure better than the reolink cameras.

pro's
  • you have a choice of 2.8mm or 3.6mm lenses
  • has IVS tripwire and intrusion for human/vehicle
  • tech support via Andy directly or here on IPcamtalk fourm.

Only con is you would need to purchase a Hard drive separate and install it, which is super easy to do.
