Yeah, they could pull a bullet out after a couple sips of whiskey and then use the same bottle to sterilize said wound, no?

Semi seriously, I kind of found the ultimate cure during the pandemic. My wife and I were both required to use KN95 masks. And while we usually have a cold every 3-4 months, we had none for the entire 2.5 years. When we could take them off again, we caught everything from covid to all "old school" colds within 3 months. Given the choice, I rather get a cold every 3-4 months.

Daily vitamin C and zinc will go a long way to kicking a cold virus hard. Chicken soup with a pinch of cayenne or crushed red pepper helps soothe and clear the throat and sinuses. Having a cold stinks. Thank goodness it's not fatal.

Pulling my weight
My parents, in the 1940s and 1950s, gave me and my 5 siblings a shot of Peppermint Schnapps to clear the sinuses. I guess nowadays that would be child abuse.
I'm also a HUGE fan of the old-fashioned "hot toddy": strong hot freshly-brewed tea, thick wedge of lemon (or two) squeezed into it, with a tablespoon of honey and a shot of bourbon.

Ah, Santeria! It's been so monetized that it must make up a not insignificant part of the economy. Special clothes, animals bred just for sacrifice, etc, etc.
I'll take my chances with the booze. Lol
