Are you allowed to detain someone in a situation like this? I don't run a business so never had to consider this. Most of the damage was after she was locked in; I wonder how that plays out in terms of damages, insurance claims, etc.. I'm ignorant on issues like this so curious about it.

When you work in an establishment, that has bars on all the glass, a door capable of remote locking, and the counter person is working behind bullet proof glass....you have to just assume that most days will not go well at work.
