I have built a lot of ends - lotsa practice both due to mistakes and gremlins. I re-do frequently mainly because I have rodents that nibble on cat6. My runs are either thru the trees or along the ground in woods. I was pleased to learn here about dialectic grease and fancy tapes, but question the quality of the connections I have been buying.
The RJ45 ends can either be internal butt joints using the little guides or the thru-the connector where you trim surplus. If one is better - I should know ...and if there is a better brand I would like to know that also.
The other is the RJ45-to-RJ45 connector. These appear to be made for thru-a-cabinet installations. I have not found any that are both sealed and purely a joint. Perhaps there is a completely different way to join cable?
I'd appreciate any suggestion on quality products. Thanks.
Jim
