We will be out of our house for up to a year due to our house getting remediated due to mold. We currently are using BI with a 6th gen 6700 cpu. We will be taking this with us but would like input on what I can use while we are away (cheap computer or NVR). We have 4 Hikvision 4MP cameras which two are continuous recording and the other two only with motion. Outside of the ease of a worker taking the machine recording, which method would you think would work in this situation. Also, we will not have internet during this time either so no remote viewing (might have to rethink that though). Thanks.

I purchased a HIKVISION DS-7604NI-E1/4P and will install in the equipment cabinet in one of the bedrooms. I hope this is enough to not get stolen when out.
I 100% agree, but we will be out of our house for up to a year. I do not want a computer laying around the house to have the opportunity for it to "walk out" from the workers. Getting the NVR will hopefully allow us to record everything and only use it "if" something goes wrong.

The NVR has the same chance of walking out... Actually higher because it's smaller..
Lock down the computer so that they would have to cut to remove it... And put SD cards in your camera if they support it.
