tapping into camera with config tool

I pulled a spare IPC-HDW4231EM-AS out and was trying to get into it to setup SD card recording only with Dahua config tool. The camera has been hook to my NVR so the IP got changed. The config tool shows me IP but will not hook in using the (Internet Explorer) icon.
Any help would be great.
