My mom's Lorex 4 channel dvr sizzled. I'd like to find an 8 channel. The cameras are fine and they are analog, using BNC type connections. Does anyone have any suggestions on which reasonably priced dvr would be good for this setup? I am very green with these setups since I use Blue Iris at my home. TIA

Hi @rcirz

Check the DVR model - look up the specs, see if it is a Dahua OEM DVR and see if the cameras are CVI

If CVI look for a DVR which can support CVI.

note - there are DVRs which support multiple analog specs, so you maybe able to find one that supports TVI and CVI.. just note from what I have seen on specs, you will need to check the resolution and fps of the cameras is supported by whatever DVR you pick up.

Also note - check the posts from Bigredfish on the XVR he is using...
