Switch -> Switch -> Router -> BI?

I have two managed switches I use for poe on my cameras.
Wondering if I should plug my BI computer into a switch or to the router.

So having my one switch plug into another switch then into a port in the router.
Plus my BI taking another port in the router.
Switch -> Switch -> Router
BI -> Router

Or one switch to another switch, then having my BI computer plug into the switch, then a switch plugging into my router.
BI - > Switch -> Switch -> Router

Not sure if there is a preference in that you plug the switch and BI comp into the router and if that creates more of a load on the router or not.
 
I would put BI on the same switch as the cameras. Most of your traffic will be from your cameras to the BI machine, so this way you would somewhat isolate that from the rest of your network. I'm not networking expert though, so someone may correct me if I'm wrong.

I concur with erensfd

Keep the LAN traffic off the router, and let the router do it's primary job.

It all depends on what you are trying to achieve with the setup.

Are you trying to physically isolate the IP cameras from the internet?
Are you using VLANs to isolate the IP cameras from the internet?
Do you want to view your IP cameras over the internet?
Does your BI computer have two NICs?
Are you using a VPN on your modem/router?

Are the POE switches just for cameras? If so a 3-NIC configuration in the Blue Iris machine would keep all the camera traffic off your WAN, isolate the cameras and you wouldn’t be daisy chaining switches, although you would lose 1 Port to uplink per switch.
