I have a Hikvision DS-2CD2232-I5 that does a decent job, but looking for something that can provide better clarity and IR capability at longer ranges. This one sits about ~50-60 meters from the road, and just wondering what would be a good replacement for it. Are there any decent low light cameras with 8mp and IR capabilities? I'm open to other suggestions, such as starlight cameras, but I want to make sure the video is clear at night

if you want better night video, go with 2MP Dahua Starlight or HiK Darkfighter series.
That 8MP cam wont likely do what you want. More MP isnt usually the answer for nighttime. And if you want clarity at longer ranges, you'll sacrifice FOV depending on the level of detail you need out there. You may be better off with 2 cameras one for close-in and one zoomed for 60 meters away
