Sub-stream and running BI as a service.

Hello,
I run BI as a service and don't run the UI nor the webUI very often. If I configure BI to use sub-streams will I still see much of a CPU usage decrease, or do the sub-stream benefits only really show when actively viewing?

It will decrease the usage of the CPU at all times the service is running whether you are watching it or not.

You will see a dramatic decrease in CPU utilization. It is, somehwat, linked to the resolution that you select for the substreams. Since you don't use the web GUI or console often, I'd say set the resolution for the substreams as low as possible. My system went from ~30% to around 7% with substreams.
