Storing clips on a portable hard drive

Hello all. I'm a newbie here. I figured out how to install my two Hikvision cameras and the Blue iris software. I see the default location where my recordings get stored are in the "new" folder within the blueiris software in my C drive. Is there a way I can leave one of my portable HDs and have the clips go directly into it?
Warning, My next question is going to be about port forwarding with my Fios Quantum router.

sure. you can have BI store New (or Stored, or any other folder) wherever you like.
but if it's connected via USB, you may hit write speed limits.
With only 2 cams, your probably OK, but down the road...
