I have setup probably around 50 Hikvision cameras.. Have come to love the ds-2cd2342wd-i turrets, and I was getting them for $55. Here recently, due to china having to play fair, those prices have jumped a ton.
I have never owned a Dahua, but have another area I am going to need to add cameras to. I've noticed the Dahua's are suddenly much more affordable and seem to be similar, just scared to go order a bunch and regret it so figured I'd ask first....
I've also seen there's a 6mp option with dahua, but I've tried the 8mp version of Hik and have decided.. at least with Hik.. that 4mp seems to be the sweet spot. Really didn't notice much difference besides needing tons more storage with an 8mp.
Anyone have experience with both that could ease my mind? I'm thinking the ipc-hdw443c-a looks the closest to the ds-2cd2342wd-i that I am really well versed in.
