Any idea what's going on here? both my cameras (Geeya 801C and Hikvision 2432) have audio coming from my desktop. I can't get blue iris to send audio through the speakers on the cameras. They both work when you use their native softwares...

any help?

Have you selected enable audio under the audio tab in camera settings? I know the hik works but the geeya might not be supported.

Yes, it's checked. otherwise I also wouldn't be hear from my camera which I do. It's just when I speak to it it comes through desktop speakers.

geeya 801C is supported in blue iris (at least the camera is) because it's selectable.

I have make/model as Hikvision DS-2CDxxxx RTSP

audio is checked with IP camera stream...

nothing comes through

Support for the Geeya video and audio does not mean that the talk function is supported. For example hikvision talk was added a few months ago, until them only the listen function worked...that said, i dont know why you are getting the audio to you pc rather than the cam. Try turning off the audio playback on the pc and see if it goes to the camera.

Try going to the audio tab in the main blue iris options. In the output section set it to not specified and see what happens.

Are you sure its not coming through both?

well I changed from hikvision RTSP to the DS-2CDxxx one and the generic hikvision brings audio from my computer speakers.

the DS-2CDxxx one doesn't bring any audio.

I should mention that I'm using the app for this, and not the software, but I don't think it should matter.

how can I contact Ken (I think?) to troubleshoot this with him... because obviously something isn't right here as I can use the native hik app to communicate via the speakers on the 2432... but it's not working with blue iris
