Sharing my experience. Sh&@$ happens! Not a common issue, but in case you lose/break your Dahua/Imou mounting plate, this mod just saved my day. I cut/grind the top plastic notch on each hole (3), in order to level within the base surface (smooth). I widen the middle guided hole, in order to “slide” the screw, while keeping the pressure between both the screw and the plastic guide. I tap/drilled the wall mount to insert a flat head screw (#8-32x1/2”). After finish, mounted back the camera housing. The camera will “slide” into the mounting plate, as the original design. You may add a “locking mechanism” by cutting a small “wedge” piece of rubber, to be inserted between the mounting plate and the base. This was used for an universal wall mount (Honeywell HQA-WK model), but you may use a junction box as well. You may try the Dahua PFA130-E junction box.

If using a junction box, instead of a wall mount, no need to tap/drill the base, since the PFA130-E have the same hole dimensions required by the mounting plate.
