So...we've got a morning walker that is doing his dirty business at one of our buildings and leaving his toilet papered deposits behind. It's beginning to annoy our custodians to no end.

I've recommended maybe throwing up a camera to monitor the area in case he does it again so we could charge him, but we don't want to put in an entire DVR for just one camera. Is there a decent motion camera that will record to an SD card so that if something happened, we could just pull the Card and check it and then put it back?

Any recommendations on what to buy?

My Hikvision DS-2cd2432F-iw records to a microSD card just fine, as would any Hikvision camera with a card slot. It is not advisable to remove the card for checking, but rather to connect to the camera over the network and use its interface to find and export clips.

Also be aware that it is illegal to put a security camera somewhere that there is a reasonable expectation of privacy. E.g. a bathroom. But if it is for example outside in the alley or in a public hallway or wherever then go right ahead.
