Silly question but have tried for hours via trail and error and not it is not in manual.

The on screen time-display is now showing in a transparent font. I was working on the NVR at the time but did not intentionally adjust display settings.
Before:

After:

I can not find anything in the camera settings that would cause this behavior.

Any ideas?

Have you tried rebooting the NVR , sometimes that will clear up settings.

I'm sure you can set a percentage of transparency on your nvr, I don't remember the right part of the settings menu and I'm not close to my nvr but I'm sure there are settings to regulate transparency

I have finally fixed it and hopefully stays fixed.

I used the Config&VideoWidget as outlined in the DAHUA HTTP API FOR IPC Version 1.67 to change the Alpha Channel to 0 and was able to get full opacity back.

http://<Camera IP>/cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=setConfig&VideoWidget[0].TimeTitle.FrontColor[3]=0

Hope fully the changes stick, so I can fully customise the OSD.
