Sodola Switches

Are Sodola switches really that bad? I'm starting off with an 8-port poe gig switch (model SL-SG082P) just to get started, as it was only $43.

Any no name switch's such as that one, is susceptible to early failure, or not being able to boot up while under load.
They are cheap for a reason.
Stick with good Netgear Prosafe or TPlink switches.
A switch, which is the back bone of your network, is the last place you should be trying to save a few bucks.

Yeah, you're right. Thankfully I haven't spent too many $ yet in my quest!
