I have another of their units, (same sensor in a dome but fixed lens/manual focus, iris).

I really like their firmware and handling of backlight vs. the Longsee (which sucks! Can not see anything whe the garage door opens)...shhh, don't tell the robbers :)

That look very interesting! Would you please post a link to where you purchased? Also, could you post some screenshots of the camera browser interface please?

And what a lot of cables, never seen so many connectors on a camera - 8?

Motorised zoom is always going to be bigger than a turret. Ideal to fit in the eaves of a 2 storey I think.

My longse had lots of cables like that too.

see post 3. I bought directly from the rep, Andy. Paid via Paypal. Sent via DHL and arrived from Singapore to Aus in ~4 days.

Will have time for a test on the weekend (hopefully). I have their imx178 dome with fixed lens and I really like it. I had a quick play after I changed it to dhcp and added it to Milestone (auto added no problem).

I am not used to autofocus and it is pissing me off a bit...so will check if there is a way to disable (does not appear to be in the gui, so may need to unplug from the board). As usual, I'll take it apart and take some pics. I'd like to see if I can fit it into the dome cam :)

I am keen to see if it's plugged into the p-iris port on the board or the standard iris. Hopefullly p.

It's a very nicely constructed unit. Appears to be solid powder coated metal

Fun.

Not true, see thread for VF Longse, it's identical to s500

Ah ok, no I did read that thread.

It's bigger than DS-2CD2332-I turret though. I know my S500 is but that's a dome not a turret. It was more DS-2CD2732F-IS size, not huge big noticeably bigger.

I already forgot the size of those Hikvision turrets, I thought s500 was only slightly larger.
