SMS alert In France

Hi everyone !

does anyone know if you can send sms alerts in France and how ?
I've already tried to configure it with mms.orange.fr which should be the closest to my phone operator.

Can someone having it working worldwide explain me how this is supposed to work ? Do you pay a special service fee or is it free ?
I also tried to use one of the pre-set up carrier like for instance "mms.att.net" but no sms incoming, am I missing anything ?

Some countries charge for sms alerts based on past posts.

Suggest you look at using the Pushover app instead - a $5 app and will send you push instead of SMS.

Most of us have found that with tightening spam algorithms by mobile providers, we would go thru periods of delayed or no SMS text messages.

all in all, let me explain why I'de like sms alert, it's about receiving them on the Apple Watch, like explained on this thread : Blue Iris on a SmartWatch?

That is fine, but it would still suffer from your mobile provider blocking or delaying it as they think it is spam.

Pushover app will work with a smartwatch.
