Ok trying to incorporate another offsite stream into PSS an BI....the offsite camera port has been forwarded and I can access the camera through the DNS server remotely. When I put all the parameters into PSS or BI I.E. Ip/user/pass I get the green online but PSS or BI can open the video stream?...tks in advance for any help guys...

you need to use a dahua cam, of course. You cannot connect a different manufacture (except maybe it is rebranded).
Next thing, please don´t use port forwarding. It´s to dangerous and insecure.The first choice is VPN, another way is P2P, but this protocol is also maybe insecure and can maybe talk home.
What ports did you forward? Dahua needs 37777 tcp and 37778 udp. For SmartPSS it´s enough only to use 37777
