Setting up my first security system

First post here.. I've probably spent 50-100 hours reading wikis and threads here. Have my first 5231R-ZE Dahua ready to go and started playing with it. Now need a computer to run blue iris. Looking at this one that looks good to me. Anybody see any red flags that I should consider a different CPU instead? Plan is to have this run 5 cameras around my house. Will get a 4TB WD Purple to record to.

CPU on that should be fine.

Thanks guys. I pulled the trigger on this one - has warranty until October 25, 2020 and has only be in use for a little over a year per the service tag. Got it for $225 which I thought was a great deal although it does not have an OS. I'll work to get an OS installed on it and see how it goes.

Has anybody bought license keys off ebay? There are some that have good reviews and are awfully cheap... not much to loose if it doesn't work.

Check the service tag and see if it came with an OS - if it did then you should be able to reinstall it.

Good call - the service tag shows "619-ALTB : Windows 7 Professional English 64bit DT (Includes Windows 10 Pro License, Microsoft Volume License Only)".. any idea how I get the license code to install? Appreciate the help!

iirc another member posted a link on that - may need to search on it, or see what other contributors post.

The windows 10 install tool is still available from when they were offering free upgrades. The tool will allow a clean install. Use your serial when prompted. Google "windows 10 install". It was the very first link for me.

FYI - just following up for others that may see this post. I loaded a USB drive with Windows 10 via the windows creation tool and it installed windows 10 pro no problem. Didn't even have to enter the key - must have been on the bios of the motherboard. I don't get why the ebay seller (which seemed to be a pretty big shop) didn't load it before because they were advertising it as a no OS system. I got him to knock an extra $25 off because of no OS, yet had a good key for windows 10 pro right on it.
