I have the following PTZ and NVR and I would like to power the PTZ with 24VAC (not PoE). The PTZ can be powered by either HiPoE (it comes with a HiPoE injector in the box) or by 24VAC (it has a three wire terminal block for 24VAC coming out of it). The manual that came with the PTZ mentions something about a switch inside the 5" models only, but not the 8" model that I have. I opened the top of the PTZ and did not see any switch. It appears that there is nothing physical that I need to do to set / switch between power sources - I can just hook up the 24VAC and be done with it. Am I correct? The PTZ will be connected to one of the PoE ports on the NVR so I will turn off PoE in the NVR firmware before I plug the CAT5 in.
