SD Card issues 2cd-2335fwd

What am i missing guys except brain cells, added a SD card with 32Gb into the camera and it failed to format using the camera in built software, it got to 99% and just disappeared from the camera Ui, meh ok perhaps it is a dodgy one, i grabbed it out of my tablet which to be fair had no issues with it but no matter i also had a 1gb Sd card, yeah too small for much but good just to test, that formats in the camera fine but if i change the page on the camera Ui and come back to the config page the Sd card shows uninitialized. No amount of camera formatting seems to resolve the issue

Have i got 2 bad SD cards which work fine in anything else both are Sandisk by the way

This shouldnt be that difficult so i must be missing something, any hints guys

Issue resolved
The problem was 2 fold, original 64gb card had unknown issues that didnt allow it to be used on the camera, the 1gb card just for test purposes was simply too small
A Toshiba 64gb card installed formated and remains working as it should
