Hi
I just got a new IP camera with 2 way audio and in-built output alarm siren

I dont want the alarm going off every time someone walks by so want to just schedule it from say 12am to 5am

I have set up a specific profile (4) called "Alarm Sirens" and set up an alert:

It works when I walk past the camera but it just goes off outside of the schedule I speficied on profile 4 and draw the times from 12am to 5am

When I walked past the camera at times not within the schedule of profile 4 ( 12am to 5am) thw siren would still go off

Have I set this up right here? Do I have to set it up only in the camera's web interface or turn something off there?

Two ways to do it

1st way is to set it up the camera GUI and use the native audio files in the camera - in this scenario BI is completely out of the picture.

2nd way is to set it up in BI and use the audio files that are in BI - in this scenario the camera settings are completely out of the picture and you are simply sending audio to the speaker.

Thanks for the quick reply

Yeh I did try the 1st way first.. and it wouldnt do anything. It would just turn the LED lights on to make the regular IR night vision color... but no sirent alarm would trigger

Then I tried it through BI and set it up like those screenshots and it triggers but every time I walk past ( not via the schedule )

If I use BI do I need to turn off the alarm in the native camera GUI settings?

Which camera is it? If it is a Dahua OEM, you have to add the audio for the triggered event as well. And then set up a schedule in the camera GUI

But in BI I see in above you have this wrong for having BI do it:

You have greyed out Profile 4, which means it ignores your sound alerts if the camera is in Profile 4. You need to make profile 4 active and grey out the others.

Ohhh I didnt realise clicking it would disable that for that profile. I thought the inverse

I have the 2CD2387G2h-LSIU/SL

I have enabled 2 way audio and it works

Hi it seems I have gone a step backwards here trying to figure this out on how to do this through BI. At first it was creating recording alerts if I walked past but now it doesnt even trigger any alerts or recordings when I walk close past the camera
The only thing it does is just turns on its lights. So now my $280 camera is just acting like a sensor light

So I got the camera to switch to the "alarm siren" profile and scheduled it from 12am to 5am ( but for testing purposes I have scheduled it earlier for testing ( but I know the scheduling is working)

Now Ive created a alert action and greyed out all profiles except profile 4 ( which is the Alarm Siren one I made)
Settings of the alarm siren alert is below:

I am using the CodeProject AI addon for AI and its doing the job

can anyone please help? Please.................!

Thank you so much
