Would anyone know how general cameras maintain their set up without power? Do they have a battery? Is their default factory generally setup in the firmware? Just trying to determine how long a camera will maintain its settings in storage.

The settings are usually stored in flash memory whenever they have been altered.
This does not require power, and persists for many years.
Generally, yes. To maintain the real-time-clock (RTC).
