Running IR gain at 100% questions

Anyone else running IR gain at 100%? I'm currently running a few cams IR at 100% and was wondering should I not do this? Or is it ok to just go ahead and run at full steam ahead.

The gain setting does not affect IR. IR is always at 100...

Setting gain to 100% will result in lots of noise in your image

lower the gain you can get away with the better; i never run em higher than 50% gain and prefer to run it at ~33% gain or less if lighting is adequate.

Gain == Noise, more gain == more noise..
