Hey guys,
On hikvision firmware 5.4.3 I used the below http address to get to an image for my Home automation to display. Now that I have updated to firmware v5.5 it no longer works.

I think this is called RTSP? If so there is "RTSP Authentication" on the System>Security>Authentication config page but when I try to set a value I get "Parameter Error" - Options are Disabled or basic

So I figured it was a weird config error after upgrade, so I reset the unit and deleted it from my NVR.
When the camera comes up and its on its default IP config, in the RTSP Authentication config it shows 2 different options, digest or basic. So I pick one of those, set the IP config and restart it.

When it comes back up it shows the Disabled or basic options again and throw the parameter error when I try and set it.
Any ideas on how I fix this up?

RTSP is a totally different streaming protocol, not related to the HTTP protocol indicated by http://

Hey Guys,
Thanks for both your comments, you helped me understand what I was doing.

I got it working, so ill explain it all here for anyone that get stuck on the same thing.

First off the weird parameter error I was getting was due to cached web page data. once I tried a different browser or cleared the cache it was working again and I could pick the correct option.
Second, To get the camera working with Home assistant - RTSP in not the same as the HTTP static picture option, this uses Hikvsion-CGI.

Once you gave me that address VorlonFrog, I got an error and I was able to relate that back to the Hikvision-CGI option not being turned on which must be off by default in 5.5.

Thanks heaps guys, really appreciate it.
