Review- EmpireTech IPC-T54IR-AS-S3 2.8mm turret fixed lens

They are for all intents and purposes the same camera, different form factor.
Though the ZHE has a better/bigger F stop but the Turret has stronger IR

Thank you very much. I have ordered the camera for testing.

Anyone know the mbps this camera uses.. Im wondering if a 10/100 switch with 4 of these cameras running will be plenty?

5-10 depending on IR
I think mine runs about 6 mostly

Sorry, read too fast

I run 30FPS, iFrame 30, 10240 bitrate, CBR H.264.H on that fixed turret

Im not that good at math but yeah ;)

I dont seem to be getting as bright a picture as you looney2ns.. This video is with 0-16ms shutter speed and 0-40 Gain. This neighborhood has no street lights so maybe that is why..? Camera is about 9 feet up and 60 feet to the street.

THIS

Looney's is pointed pointed OUT yours is pointed DOWN.
You're trying to do too much with one camera.

Also why drop Gain to 40? put it back to 50 and lower the camera

Ultimately when you're done trying workarounds, you'll need to aim the camera out more and lose that little slice of the garage or accept that you need another camera to do the two jobs

Money was tight so was only able to get 2 cameras.. But at least i talked her out of buying the amcrest system. Im pretty sure that would have been a complete disappointment.

You definitely need some external IR light. If you don't want to mount them outside, you can place them inside and shoot through the window. When using lots of IR light, you can use a faster shutter and diminish the motion blur from target moving. I have the compound lit up like Times Square with IR light.
