Returned camera - they can do English any more

So I had a camera that’s gone back as it would respond to ping but nothing else.

The shop tells me the don’t have the English firmware for it.

So my questions are.

Behind an nvr will I notice? If the nvr is controlling anything will it affect me?

Method for updating firmware, or at a minimum converting the Chinese text files.

I think it’s a hdb 4431. I’ll get thee exact model when it turns up.

Check this thread for a good hacked version of the firmware for that camera. I'll warn you, you definitely need to do some reading, and insure you get the proper firmware for your camera. It never hurts to throw a small donation to his Paypal address, either.
