Reseting Hikvision DS-7216HWI-SH/A

Hi!

How do I reset a Hikvision DVR like the one in subject line? All help appreciated as I dont work with Hikvision much.

The serial nr of it is (according to SADP): DS-7216HWI-SH/A1620150122AAWR500703064WCVU


Customer has forgotten their admin password (supervisor who had it got sacked cause of negative behaviour...ish).

In order to reset the admin password I need a "security code".

Work with NVR's as well and you use in conjunction with SADP.

Yes! Now case is solved.

The problem was that in mentioned "Reset Tool" - I typed in whole the S/N stated in SADP.
In fact, for this DVR in question, it only worked if I left out the initial model destription. And only kept the actual S/N in the S/N-field. That did the magic trick!
