Hi all I am a new user of the forum and came here with a problem. I have been running a noname h.264 NVR for years just recording 24/7 a number of old ESCAM QD300 1080P H.265 Night Vision outdoor POE IP Cameras. Finally one failed and needed replacing (was full of water). I bought a Reolink RCL520A to replace it which works great on their reolink app on an SD card but is vulnerable to being stolen as a front door camera so wanted to also record it 24/7 on my NVR too. I can display it live with no problems but when I go to look at recordings in playback I just get a red cross on the screen. There seems to be a recording there as there is the yellow bar at the bottom of the screen. Could anyone help me set this up? The attached pictures are of channel 3 and 6 and 6 is the one I have problems with.

The least desirable alternative is to also buy a Reolink NVR.
That being said, not much love on IPCT for Reolink except their excellent doorbell camera.
It may be possible to make some changes to your Reolink cam's video settings (decoder type, bitrate, frame rate, resolution, etc.) to get it to work but I cannot say for sure which and what.

I have tried changing settings in the stream from the camera side to reduce the amount of data / resolution / bitrate 264/265 format sent but still cant get my dvr to record the stream even though the dvr can display it real time. One of the things that I have noticed is that my DVR can display live video from the new camera but fails to record it, also it fails to display full screen but displays on the tiled screen with other feeds. This leads me to believe it is a failure on the dvr record decode/recode side of things. Because of this I am reluctant to buy another camera just to be stuck with the same problem and if I buy another DVR I may not be able to move all my other cameras old over to it. I am reluctant to buy a reolink dvr if their cameras are incompatible with other dvrs as I may get locked into just buying their cameras too. I was looking at buying another DVR motherboard card for my DVR as an upgrade is there one that people can recommend? Any help comments explanations of what might be going on would be very welcome, see photos for details of existing board.
