After coming here and always asking questions about this and that and receive a lot of helpful information, I figured it would be a good idea to show off my first true installation project.
For those that might not have read any of my previous posts, I'm certainly no pro at this. I just know enough about cameras that the university asked me to oversee the cameras versus contracting out for easy jobs that could be handled in-house.
This particular job was done on a building that was being renovated and designed as a community storm shelter. Unfortunately the architects didn't plan for the installation of a security camera system so we kind of had to do the best we could after the fact. This install has been an ongoing project for the last 5 months or so.
Though I've run about a dozen Cat6 drops myself and installed all the cameras, I can't claim all of the work for myself. This was done with a lot of help from maintenance guys, the original contractor overseeing the networking installation and ran majority of the drops, and the IT department.
This has been my first true major installation project and I like think it turned out pretty well. Could've been done a lot better, but I have definitely learned a lot and hopefully saved the university quite a bit of money in the long run.
We used a 32 channel H Series NVR along with 28 NSC-212 2.8mm cameras inside the building and 2 NSC-202 4mm cameras for outside, all from Nelly's.
