Is there any way to gain access to Hikvision cameras own internal software remotely from off site ??

I have a DS-2CD2342WD-1 connected to a DS-7604NI/4P/A NVR, the only way i can gain access to the cameras own software at present is to connect my laptop to one of the NVR`s LAN ports and access the cameras web interface, this is a PITA, i would like to be able to access the camera remotely off site, is there a way ??

firmware version 3.3.4 has ''virtual host'' option. you can find and enable it in webbrowser of the NVR.
Or you really need to connect the camera to switch.. i dont think there is any other easy solution for this.

Hi there,

Yes, there is. Have a look in here:

https://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php/6941-Accessing-individual-cameras-connected-to-a-built-in-PoE-HikVision-NVR-switch

You will need to configure a port forwarding on your router/firewall to get connection from outside.

I would change the port number for each camera to be unique - for example:

Cam01 - 8081
Cam02 - 8082
Cam03 - 8083
.
.
.
Cam09 - 8089

Then you can easily create a port forwarding using the same public IP address with a different port number to private ip of your camera.

Good luck.
