Record on motion but alert only when motion in zone

Posted this in customising but that area doesn’t look like it’s visited that often so am now posting here.

Been doing lots of reading both here and of the help files but I can't get my cameras to always record on motion but only alert when motion is detected in a zone.

So I have a cam setup with Zone A as the entire screen, Zone B with the area that I want to be alerted on and the option for Motion zones within Alerts set to just Zone B but each time movement is detected outside of Zone B I still get an alert.

I've also watched some YT videos but this has me stumped, can somebody please give me a pointer and can what I am trying to even be done?
 
I setup clones to do this and it’s working sort off. The main cam has the multiple zones on which I’ve setup motion triggers and alert, the clones only has 1 zone with no Allred’s and triggers in motion.

I’m having a problem now where the multi zone cams sometimes just randomly go black and just stop recording or triggering. I’ve set them and reset the zones but still get the same so I’ve logged a call with support. When this happens the single zone motion clones cams still carry on recording with no issues, so from the same streams. No idea what is going on and the logs indicate not problems at all.

When this happens, if I then manually trigger the cams they then start behaving until the next time.

I’m away in my hols and my router must have reset so I can’t even check the recording remotely now, pretty frustrating, trying to get my done to check what is going on with remote access.
