Yep, many of us have experienced that with the GPU version as well - higher CPU usage and less plates being captured.

Is that in Windows?

I wonder if I moved it into Debian or Ubuntu with GPU if it would be any better

Maybe I should pickup a lower power card for Deepstack and and move this P4 into my ESXi server so I can play around with it more. If no OpenALPR, this P4 seems a little overkill for Deepstack

Yep, the 1030 works fine for DeepStack. I just assumed it was my lower power GPU that had trouble with OpenALPR, but others with beefier ones have had trouble too and Rekor was of no help...and then increased the price LOL.

I really just want to see it using less CPU, I feel like there isn't much point in the GPU if its still going to use so much CPU

I don't know if its because of the cameras now feeding into 2 x OpenALPR and Blue Iris, but the new OpenALPR install with the GPU is missing cars.

For instance, it got this van with a phone number, but not the rear plate

Going back to my CPU setup, it got the phone number as well as the rear plate
The GPU acceleration isn't for better power usage or lower cpu etc, it's for faster processing when you have dozens of plates a second on a highway or something.
