Does anyone on here have any insights into a good range finder at a reasonable price? I see a lot of them in the $80 range. This will not be used on the golf range and probably not for hunting. One use of course will be the distances from my IP cameras.

Perhaps a laser measurement tool would work? Hard to pick up the red dot during daytime though if you're outside.

Bushnell makes great range finders for various needs - golf, hunting, hiking, etc. Priced from $150 - $700.
These types of range finders have a much larger reach then the typical laser ruler. Their $150 model can hit a tree @ 1000yrds, acccuacy +/- 1 yrd.

Yeah, if you're going $100+, then bushnell is great. But if you want anything below $80, then the laser distance finder is going to be it for the most part.
