System VersionV2.840.0000000.18.R, Build Date: 2022-06-29

I set this camera up about a year ago. I noticed a while back it wasn't triggering on IVS so I updated the firmware per Andy to this one:
General_IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_E2_V2.840.0000000.18.R.220629.bin

I thought I took enough screenshots to set this back up properly but I unfortunately I didn't so trying to figure everything out again.

Anyway, there is a setting I am not sure why it is on the 5441. The Audio Linkage setting. This camera doesn't have a speaker so I am not sure why this is here.

Anyone know why this is here?

That's right! I remember seeing an audio cable. It has been a while. It's like learning this thing all over again. I'm not a quick learner to begin with and I forget things very easily nowadays.

Encountered a problem with IVS.

It appears channel 1 will trigger IVS but channel 2 will not.

Does IVS work if the camera is pointed at the ground? I can't get it work with Tripwires or Intrusions.

example:

I'm setting this camera up for face detection. Because the camera only has one processor for two channels, I found the 2nd channel was much less sensitive to face detection than the 1st channel.

I reduced the fps from 15 on both channels to 5 on both channels and then had no issues.

Try reducing fps to 5 and if that solves your issue, try raising it bit by bit until you encounter the same issue and then drop it to the fps when you didn't have an issue.

Does it matter if I am just trying to trigger on a tripwire? I am not doing any face detection or anything that needs a lot of processing.

EDIT: I tried reducing the FPS to 5 and and no luck. It doesn't make sense that a simple tripwire would not work.

IVS may be less processor intensive than face detection. Maybe move the tripwire more towards the middle of the frame. The cameras sometimes have trouble detecting a target that is both outside the frame and over the tripwire at the same time.

The camera needs time to "see" the object prior to the object crossing the tripwire or the intrusion box.
Move trip wire more towards the door, and same with the intrusion.
Your not giving them that time needed.
You may try a zigzag tripwire instead of straight.
You're close field of view is making it hard for it to perform as designed.
All else fails, perform the global setup.

Test and confirm.
That should work better.
If you have an SD card in the cam, then you can record to the card and view how the IVS rules are working.
You may need to tweek them.
If you are able to view the feed live in the GUI you can also see when/if it is triggering.

I missed this comment from you earlier. I just looked up Global setup and read a bit about it. I think maybe this is what I need to do. Maybe there is a depth issue since the camera is pointing directly at the ground. Is this what you were referring to when you mentioned Global Setup?

I'll do some testing tonight.

FYI - I also like traditional alarm type sensors for key areas ..
