I have a Qcam system installed, POE cameras wired to the NVR the kit came with. Is it possible to replace the NVR with a POE switch and PC running Blue Iris? Will those Qcam cameras function fine without the NVR they came with? Do they need to be flashed with different firmware?

This is the Qcam system:

Info provided by your link states the NVR "....It works with virtually any ONVIF compatible IP camera (such as Amcrest, Foscam, and more)...." so it's very likely it will, using RTSP.
Try "Find/Inspect" to find ONVIF cam in Blue Iris first, by entering the cam IP and user/password information. If no go, try RTSP URL suggestions according to iSPY:
Connect to Qcam IP cameras

Thanks. Will bring a POE switch and windows laptop over there next time I go and see if I can access the cameras directly.

If I’m able to, any guesses to what the default password will be? Will it be in English most likely?
